How Savin is minimizing impact on the environment
Zero-waste-to-landfill operations are critical to our total environmental management effort. By closely monitoring Savin products and processes, we can successfully minimize our environmental impact. To that end, resource recirculation processes are in place throughout our product design, manufacturing, and distribution operations. Those resource recirculation processes are focused on three key actions, as highlighted below:

Data Overwrite Security System (DOSS) Option

The Data Overwrite Security System (DOSS) Option overwrites data that is temporarily stored on the hard drive of digital Multifunctional Products by writing over the latent image with random sequences of 1's and 0's. This process makes any effort to access and reconstruct residual image data virtually impossible.

Also, as a courtesy to our customers, COSi can wipe data from a hard drive, clearing all the data on the hard drive.  If you are concerned about the security of the information that may be contained on your MFP's hard drive, simply request that we wipe it at the end of its lease/lifetime.
